ROOM RESERVATION
Reserving a Meeting Space/Room @ Urban Life
Faculty and students in the Psychology department can reserve rooms in Urban Life for their
meetings (e.g., defenses, small gatherings). To request a room reservation, you will need to follow the
instructions outlined below. (Updated: 6/21/2022)

All faculty and students who have their staff/faculty GSU email accounts ([email protected]) and are using the Outlook program installed on their computer (not the online version):
- From your Outlook Inbox, click on Home > New Items > Meeting to create a new meeting request. You can also just double click in a slot on your calendar.
- Fill in the fields Title, and specify meeting Start time and End Time.
- Click Location to search for an available meeting room. In the search field, enter the keyword “UL” to search for available rooms in Urban Life.
- Select your desired room (e.g., UL 1003). You can either double click on your selection OR click the Rooms button.
- The room name will populate in the room field. Click OK.
- The room you selected will populate in the Required and Location field.
- Fill out your event description in the body message. Make sure all the necessary information is filled out and click Send.
- Once approved, you will receive a notification email. Please note your room reservation will be reviewed and approved by Sequaya Sims or Dr. Lindsey Cohen.
For students or users who do not have their staff/faculty GSU email accounts, you will need to send your room reservation from your student or other email account to the email address listed under Room Mailbox (see table above).
- Please include the following required information in your email: Type of meeting, Date, Start time, and End time.
- For example, if you would like to book UL 1199, send an email to [email protected].
For faculty and students using Outlook Online:
- Log into your GSU account through http://outlook.com/gsu.edu and click on the Calendar icon.
- Click on New event > Event.
- Fill in the fields Title, and specify meeting Start time and End Time.
- Enter meeting room email address in Invite attendees (ex. [email protected]).
- Click the Search for room field and type in the desired meeting room/space from table on pg. 1. (ex. UL 1003)
- Add a description of your meeting. Click Save.
- Once approved, you will receive a notification email. Please note your room reservation will be reviewed and approved by Sequaya Sims or Dr. Lindsey Cohen.
