Biography

Dr. Rebecca M. Johnson, PsyD, graduated from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Francisco where she received for Psy.D. and M.A. in Clinical Psychology. She is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Substance Abuse Disorders, Forensic Psychology, and Solution Focused Therapy. Dr. Johnson has taught Lifespan Development, Social Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Introduction to Drugs & Behavior, Psychology of Interpersonal Behavior, and Forensic Psychology.

Dr. Johnson owns and operates a private Psychotherapy practice in Atlanta, GA. Her primary focus is adults, with a wide range of disorders and presenting problems. She also conducts psychological evaluations and court testimony when necessary. Additionally, she has worked in an inpatient forensic hospital, crisis response center, Juvenile Detention Center, inpatient substance abuse rehabilitation program, and an outpatient forensic psychology practice where she worked with perpetrators and victims of sexual assault as well as families involved with the Department of Child and Family Services. She is a member of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists, and is a trained Mental Health Responder with the American Red Cross.
